MacDrive is an interesting utility designed to allow for the reading of files between Mac and Windows.
The majority of important operating systems, have their own format for their disk partitions, that means FAT, NTSC for Windows, EXT for Linux and HFS for Mac.
When we try to access files that are in different partition formats, generally it cannot be done, the exception being if the operating system has an extension or a programme to do it.
Some characteristics that stand out of MacDrive are:
- Support for accessing Mac files in hard disks, CDs, DVDs, iPods, pendrives and removable memories.
- Possibility of creating partitions in hard drives, CDs and DVDs with HFS format.
- Support for multiple programmes that work with this type of partitions.
With MacDrive we can access our Mac data from Windows.
