FreeMind is an open-code mind mapping tool designed in Java for organising, analysing and structuring ideas and information.
FreeMind is a powerful, practical tool, easy to handle and very useful. FreeMind can be used for many purposes: to organise large amounts of information, structure contents, summarise articles, organise projects, diagram general ideas, create memory aids, etc.
FreeMind works with nodes that index or interrelate according to your needs. The information can be contracted or expanded in each node and the look of the resulting file is completely configurable.
The result of the mental maps you create can be published on HTML or Java pages or inserted into wikis like ‘Dokuwiki’ with the corresponding plugin.
Main features:
- The nodes can store links to pages on the Internet or local pages;
- Rapid browsing with clicks;
- Drag and drop function;
- Direct export to HTML;
- Support for colouring nodes, adding images and sources.
