FileZilla is an FTP open source client (under GPL license),multiplatform, easy to use and with a good number of characteristics that make it one of the most popular FTP clients in the world.
FileZilla has a powerful Site Administrator, with this tool, it is possible to create a list of frequently managed FTP sites with all its attributes for a quick connection (session type, ports to use, ftp address, etc.).
The programme’s interface is simple and easy to use. It is divided in only one local view (tree view type) and a remote view. Users can browse both in the local part as well as in the remote one. Files can be transferred from the local site to the remote one and vice versa in a “drag and drop” manner for ease of use.
An important feature in FileZilla is the “transfer queue” that allows you to upload a big quantity of files in a simultaneous manner and see the progress percentage of each file in a totally real time individual manner.
In order to maintain complete control over the performed operations, FileZilla has a tool called “Message registration”, where it is shown, as a console, a list of the commands sent to the remote server with its corresponding answers.
